Job Title: HVAC – M&E Engineer (Data Centre Operations)
Location: London, UK
Rate: £200 per day (Contract)
Start: Immediate

We are hiring multiple M&E / Facilities Engineers to support Data Centre Operations for a global technology leader—one of the Big Four. If you have experience maintaining and operating the electrical and mechanical infrastructure of high-performing data centres, we want to hear from you.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a cutting-edge environment with high safety and operational standards, working on a critical project with a global footprint.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain world-class mechanical and electrical infrastructure within a data centre environment

  • Troubleshoot faults and log incidents effectively

  • Perform daily operational readings of all M&E equipment (temperatures, voltages, currents)

  • Supervise and liaise with third-party contractors for maintenance and servicing

  • Conduct manual handling and lifting of equipment as needed

  • Manage workflows and inventory using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

  • Participate in a shift or rota-based schedule


Core Skills & Experience Required:

Mechanical & Electrical Systems:

  • HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning)

  • UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems

  • ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches)

  • VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)

  • Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Diesel Generators, Chillers, Exhaust Fans, Transformers

Safety & Compliance:

  • Demonstrated experience working in high-security, safety-regulated environments

  • Knowledge of and commitment to safety best practices in critical infrastructure
