4Site Recruitment are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client, a prestigious main contractor renowned for delivering luxury high-end residential projects across Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected company with a healthy pipeline of upcoming work, operating within a small but highly experienced commercial team.
The ideal candidate will be confident working independently across multiple projects, ensuring cost efficiency and control while upholding the company’s commitment to quality and bespoke delivery. This is an office-based role, offering the chance to be involved in the commercial management of some of London’s most exclusive residential properties.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage all cost aspects of high-end residential construction projects from procurement through to final account

Prepare, submit, and manage interim valuations, variations, and final accounts

Procure subcontractor and supplier packages, ensuring best value and compliance with specifications

Monitor project budgets and report on cost performance to senior management

Assist with contract negotiation and administration (primarily JCT forms)

Liaise closely with project teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure accurate forecasting and cost control

Contribute to commercial strategy and identify cost-saving opportunities where possible
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on high-end residential or prime London developments

Strong understanding of JCT contracts, cost management, and procurement practices

Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple packages/projects simultaneously

Highly numerate, commercially aware, and detail-oriented

Proficient in cost management tools and relevant software (e.g., Excel, Bluebeam)

Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
