Health & Safety Manager
Our client seeks a Health & Safety Manager to support its growing business and uphold safety standards in historic building conservation projects. Based in Victoria, London, this full-time role offers the opportunity to work with prestigious heritage assets across the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily health and safety support to construction managers.
- Establish and refine procedures for timely safety reporting and management.
- Develop Construction Phase Plans in collaboration with construction managers.
- Implement innovative cloud-based reporting systems.
- Conduct incident investigations alongside external advisors.
- Chair quarterly health and safety committee meetings.
- Enforce compliance with company safety policies.
- Report to Directors on safety matters and produce relevant documentation.
- Manage training programs for personnel.
- Vet subcontractors and assist with tender submissions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental ISO standards.
- Conduct site inspections and audits as necessary.
- Attend post-tender interviews.
- Advise Directors on site-based safety.
Requirements:
- Chartered Membership with IOSH and environmental health qualifications.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in construction safety.
- Ability to obtain CTC clearance.
- CSCS Card, Temporary Works Coordinator, First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Fire Marshal, and Fire Risk Assessment certifications.
- Experience in creating Construction Phase Plans.
- Preferred qualifications: CIEH registered trainer for health & safety, Advanced Scaffold Inspector.
- Proficiency in face fit and harness training.
