We're working exclusively with a long-established main contractor known for delivering complex, high-quality projects across the science, healthcare, and education sectors. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and collaborative delivery, they are currently delivering several schemes within the Harwell Science Campus and need a Senior Site Manager to join their team permanently.

The Role:

You'll step in as the No.1 on site, leading a key roofing project while preparing to oversee a new multi-use games area (MUGA) scheme kicking off in August. This is a client-facing role where you'll be expected to represent the contractor in meetings and drive the programme with clarity and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as No.1 on site
• Attend and lead client meetings - a client-facing presence is key
• Oversee site operations, ensuring quality, safety, and programme compliance
• Manage and mentor an on-site team including Site Manager support
• Use MS Project to manage and report on programme progress
• Support the implementation of a new Building Management System (BMS)

Requirements:

• SMSTS, First Aid, and relevant CSCS card
• Background in trades preferred
• Confident communicator and strong with reporting and programme control
• Comfortable taking full responsibility for site activities
• Previous experience with science, education or similarly complex builds a plus

   

The Package:

• Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 per annum (DOE)
• Permanent role with long-term project pipeline
