Our client is currently seeking a Gas Engineer and Plumber to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of domestic/commercial boilers, as well as the ability to handle maintenance-related emergencies.
Required: CSCS, gas safe, level 3 ideally can sign off work, full clean UK driving licence (required) & own tools
Skills/Experience Required for the Position of Gas Engineer/Plumber:
-Proficiency in repairing, replacing, and servicing domestic boilers.
-Capability to conduct gas safety inspections and testing in strict adherence to current regulatory standards.
-Proven experience in maintenance work, including the identification and rectification of faults and defects.
-Competence in executing necessary gas-related tasks following inspections and testing, such as addressing leaks and replacing boiler and heating components.
-Aptitude for boiler fitting and carcass replacement, ensuring modernization when necessary.
-Expertise in diagnosing the root causes of faults and defects and selecting the most suitable solutions.
-Consideration of strategies to minimise recurring faults and visits, while ensuring the cost-effectiveness of solutions within the given circumstances.
-Dedication to upholding safe working practices and full compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
-Gas trade qualification required (Gas Safe - Domestic and/or Commercial qualification) and suitable experience
-CSCS
-Domestic ACS gas safe certified (CCN1, CKR1, HTR1, CENWAT, CEN1, CPA1)
-Ensure that repairs are completed within the target response times
-Excellent communication, punctuality, and interpersonal skills
-Complete detailed job reports on Commusoft daily
-An unvented HW qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
Location: Travelling between locations throughout the London area
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 5 pm (plus overtime for emergencies, 1 hour break)
Company van and fuel card for business use only and a credit card for materials.
